Housing Needs Assessment

January / February 2024:

An open meeting was held on the 16th of January to get residents involved in the plan and a presentation was made by our consultants.  This was discussed at the Parish Council meeting on the 1st of February and it is hoped that we can continue with the plan but a final decision will be made at the Parish Council meeting on the 7th of March 2024.

July 2023:

The Walpoles Parish Council is carrying out a Call for Sites for their developing Neighbourhood Plan

The Walpoles Parish Council is undertaking a ‘Call for Sites’ just for the Walpoles parish area to identify available sites that can be considered for small scale developments of 2-to-3-bedroom houses, commercial units, or home-working units. There is no specified hectare size being considered as acceptable, however we are looking for smaller sites (5 dwellings/units or less) which would be roadside development.

The Site Submission Form for completion by any interested parties who want to promote a site for a specific use or development to be allocated in The Walpoles Neighbourhood Plan can be requested by email:  walpoleparishcouncil@gmail.com or click this link to the Site Submission Form.

The Call for Sites will run for 6 weeks starting on Monday 14 August 2023. The closing date for submissions is Monday 25 September 2023.
